
Moving beyond the books, University of Õ¬Äе¼º½ students are encouraged to add value to their degree by participating in at least one internship. This type of experiential learning is key to making well-rounded graduates ready for the workforce. Not only do our students learn new skills, but they refine their career paths with real-world experiences.
Our students regularly engage in the following types of internship opportunities.
Allied Health and Public Health:
- ±á´Ç²õ±è¾±³Ù²¹±ô²õÌý– Students intern and shadow in area hospitals, gathering valuable experiences in their fields of study.
- Shriners Hospital for ChildrenÌý– Students observe both physical and occupational therapy at this Õ¬Äе¼º½ pediatric, orthopedic hospital.Ìý
- Local NonprofitsÌý– Students gain exposure to working in local nonprofit agencies such as the American Lung Association and the American Diabetes Association.Ìý
- Wellness Programs on CampusÌý– Students collaborate and lead one of theÌý.
